Children's Broadcast III (01455)
An undated scrapbook photograph labeled "Lynchburg's Negro children also participate in the Children's Hour broadcast. Here we have the group from Dearington Playground. Mrs. Lillie Gilbert, director of that center, stands at the extreme left hand corner of the back row and Mrs. Evelyn Clements, the Accompanist, at the far right. These youngsters are especially good at the old Negro spirituals and have put on many request performances". A Parks and Recreation activity.
