Parket Boat Marshall II (09748)
An undated photo of the remains of the Packet Boat Marshall, that is kept in Riverside Park, Lynchburg, VA. A cover has since been added to protect the remains from the elements. Known as the finest packet boat to travel the James River and Kanawha Canal, the Marshall carried the body of Stonewall Jackson from Lynchburg to Lexington, it's final resting place, in 1863. Jackson succumbed to wounds received near Chancellorsville.
