Railroad Signal Tower in Lynchburg VA (09849)
An undated black and white photograph of a railroad signal tower in Lynchburg with a man looking out a second story window. Appears to be in the Upper Basin area near the passenger station. Possibly taken ca.1919, as the Williams Viaduct appears to be under construction on the right. A brick structure replaced it and is now abandoned as there is little train traffic in the area. The only train traffic is the nearby CSX James River Division.
