Holy Cross Academy/John W. Wyatt School (00366)
Holy Cross Academy was built in 1916, housing grades K-12, and became the temporary home of the John Wyatt School for the Lynchburg City School System in the 1960's. The building , now demolished, was located on Clay at Ninth Street. It was one of the first fireproof buildings in the city. Holy Cross moved to a new school complex on Langhorne Road and closed in 2020.The Regional Jail is now on this Clay Street site.
