A photograph with the matching negative of the corner of Campbell Avenue and Twelfth Street, Lynchburg, VA, dated on back November 2, 1950. On the left is the Craddock-Terry Fort Hill Shoe Factory. On the right is the "Cities Service" station and a Merita Bread truck is on the right plus Brille and GM buses from the Lynchburg Transit Company. Otherwise, the photograph is full of automobiles both parked and on the street and pedestrians on the sidewalk. In August, 2010, several people on the sidewalk to left of vehicles were identified as follows: lady in rear is Kate Cofflin Blankenship; man with head down on right is Roger Kern; man to his left is Irvin S. Blankenship; woman beside pickup truck is Ethel Carrico Blankenship. They are probably getting of work at the shoe factory.
