Blackwater Creek Southeast of Sixth Street (03075)
An image of Blackwater Creek taken just southeast of Sixth Street looking north toward the older Rivermont Bridge. A portion of Rivermont Bridge is visible in the background. Also visible are the remnants of Sixth Street Bridge, which at that time consisted only of the iron framework supporting an abandoned pedestrian walkway and a water pipe. It connected Sixth Street with the lower end of Cabell Street. N &W Railroad tracks are on the left. They are now a part of the trail system. A corner of the former Elks Lodge is visible in the upper left of the image.
